Your tax deductible donation to the Laurel Glen GoFundMe will help immediate repairs to the original stone wall running the length of the cemetery.
The Laurel Glen Cemetery Association of 1894 in Cuttingsville, VT is charged with maintaining the beautiful home (1882) and mausoleum (1880) of John P. Bowman, a tannery owner who lost his family tragically and devoted his fortune to maintaining their memory.
A stone wall running the length of the cemetery built in the 1880’s has collapsed after recent heavy rains. In addition, the furnace stopped working and needed to be replaced before winter weather caused temperature-related damage to the mansion's interior. This unexpected expense set us back financially.
Our mission is to preserve and share the historical, architectural, and cultural legacy of John P. Bowman and Laurel Glen through community engagement, educational events, and volunteer opportunities that foster a lasting appreciation for this heritage and ensure its public benefit for generations to come. We are a 501c3 not-for-profit organization; all donations are tax-deductible as no goods or services are received in exchange.
